Your exposè serves as plan for your master’s thesis and should clearly outline the research gap you plan to address. A good exposè (3 to 5 pages) should contain at least the following information:
a motivation and interpretation of the topic
the state-of-the-art of research in the field
an outline of research gap(s) you plan to address
1 to 3 concrete research question(s)
an overview of the planned research approach and methodology
the expected results and a discussion of risks
a rough timeline with milestones
3 to 5 most relevant references
